SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Resources for Children with Special Needs, Inc supports New York City families and the organizations that serve them. They advocate on behalf of parents and caregivers, provide specialized training to help parents and professionals work together to achieve their children’s goals, and sponsor events that help increase awareness in the community.
Disabilities Information Center provides information about disabilities, special education, and related services for children in school. Includes information on individualized education programs (IEPs), disability organizations, professional associations, laws, and early intervention services for infants and toddlers.
Parent Training and Information Centers Find parent centers in your state that provide training and information about infants, toddlers, school-aged children, and young adults with disabilities.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE INFORMATION
Financial assistance may be available through child care programs directly. These may include sliding scale fees, multi-child discounts, or the availability of public Preschool and Head Start options. Let us know if you need any of this information at the time of your referral request.
Military Child Care Assistance: The National Association of Child Care and Resource and Referral Agencies, through a partnership with the Department of Defense, offers military families child care assistance. The program subsidizes active duty and /or deployed service member’s child care fees if they are unable to access child care on a military base.
